Pepper Watch: Day 33

Slowly (but surely!) the peppers are getting their leaves!  I love how they start out such a tender green and as they grow, they develop an unmistakable dark and shiny appearance.  My pepper seedlings are about half and half right now, with half in this phase of growing true leaves, and the other half still in the little sprout phase.  Over the weekend I finally reached 100% germination of all my peppers, which also includes a few "replants" where I got impatient and added another seed, only to have both seeds eventually germinate (ph well, bonus pepper plants!).  The peppers are definitely ahead of schedule compared to last year, which means I should have some really healthy-sized plants to put out in the garden this spring.
