Remember that scene in the movie Twister where they're in a truck pretty much smack in the middle of a storm and the cow goes flying by? The one where're they're shouting, "We've got cows!"? Well, replace "cows" with "broccoli" and that was me when I noticed that my broccoli seeds had sprouted only 4 days after planting. Honest to goodness, I think that is exactly what I exclaimed when I noticed the little green sprouts starting to emerge.
And we do have broccoli (broccoli sprouts, at least)! Each and every one of the little pots of heirloom Calabrese Green Sprouting Broccoli has come to life. March is going to be a fun month, I think.
