Baby Broccoli

After our hopes for an early spring here in Minnesota were dampened by a foot of new snow yesterday, I'm not sure it's fair to bring this up, but I'm going to anyway: this is what it was like in Minnesota exactly one year ago today.

I was all set to start lamenting on the differences between this winter and last winter, but I don't think you can count spring out just quite yet.  Our mornings are definitely brighter, our days are longer, and our 10-day forecast is solidly in the 30s (maybe even close to 40 over the weekend) with lots of sun and maybe a little rain (not snow!),  all of which should make quick work of melting away the new snow.  I may not be able to see my rhubarb yet, but all hope is not lost for an early(ish) spring!

Also, I have baby broccoli, and let's face it, you just have to be hopeful for spring when you have baby broccoli.
