Pardon me while I indulge in a little late season tomato love before I have to make the decision as to whether or not to pick all the tomatoes by the end of the week. The next few days are going to be gorgeous, perfect tomato-ripening weather, but by the end of the week we could see a hard frost followed by more average October weather. I have to weigh the effort and effectiveness of covering everything with the odds that the weather will rebound enough to actually get more tomatoes. Is it strange that this feels like the biggest gardening decision of the year?
