Bolted

This heat has not been kind to the radishes.  The last of my second planting, and now most of my third planting have bolted before the radishes had a chance to form.  On the bright side, it was not entirely a waste as there were still some tender greens that could be salvaged and at least the flowers are pretty, like this variety with pale lavender-tinted blossoms.  I was hoping to keep a steady supply of radishes going throughout the summer by planting in succession every 3-4 weeks or so, but with today's forecast calling for triple digits once again, I think I will take a little break and hope that the late-summer and fall weather is more cooperative.
