Tiny Tomatoes

Could there be a more welcome sight during the first week of spring than tiny seedlings emerging from the ground?  The answer is yes if those seedlings are tiny tomatoes.  Tomatoes are my one true garden love, and when these little guys started to germinate over the weekend, I was just a wee bit excited!  

I've started two different varieties from seed this year.  I was drawn to both of these varieties primarily because of their unique colors.  These are Sun Gold, a hybrid that will produce bright gold-orange cherry tomatoes, known for their extraordinary sweetness:  


And these are Indigo Rose, a rather new hybrid that has exceptionally high levels of antioxidants.  These small tomatoes will have variations in deep purple and red colors, depending on how much sun exposure they get.  Interestingly, even the seedlings have beautiful indigo coloration:
