Friday
- A fun morning walk to take Lauren and Jacob to school
- A little fall clean up around the house and yard
- Some serious garden clean up: harvested the remaining 7 tomato plants in the garden (not counting the more than a gallon of cherry tomatoes, I brought in about 300 tomatoes)
- An impromptu evening walk with Mandy and Noah
- Homemade late season garden and turkey pizza for dinner (made from scratch pizza dough, made from scratch (and garden) pizza sauce, onion, garlic, red pepper, banana pepper, and thinly sliced roma tomato from the garden, Italian seasoned ground turkey, and mozzarella)
- Pizza + glass of wine + watching Almanac with Mike
- A good workout at the Y
Saturday
- Quality time and great conversations with Mike in the car to and from Blue Earth
- Crossed a few things off the fall chore list at the Laundromat
- Visited mom and dad on the farm
- Playtime: caterpillars, tents and playdough with Grace
- Raided Paul’s garlic harvest for planting this week (scored some horseradish root, too)
- A quiet evening at home, curled up under warm blankets with a big bowl air popped popcorn and an oldie but goodie movie pick: Mighty Ducks
Sunday
- Sunday morning political TV shows and reading the paper in bed
- After church made from scratch apple cinnamon pancakes made with homemade applesauce from our apple tree
- 1st round of raking leaves: 19 bags of leaves from the front and side yard
- More fall yard and garden clean up
- Visited Grandma, bearing a bag of apples and a few tomatoes
- Shared a few more tomatoes with Molly & family
- Raspberry picking - they're still going strong!
- First on-my-own batch of raspberry jam
- First ever batch of homemade horseradish sauce
